IBGE Schedule for the week of May 19-23 now available

The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) released today (19) a new edition of the IBGE Schedule for the week of May 19-23. The IBGE Schedule brings events, internal and external meetings and appointments of the Presidency, Directorates and Advisories, IBGE State Superintendencies and the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE).

Since January 2024, the IBGE weekly schedule has been released every Monday at 9 am and it includes the schedule for the days following its publication. Check the complete schedule for this week on the IBGE Schedule.

Presidency

On Monday (19), at 3 pm, a team from the presidency will participate in the weekly meeting of the Department of the General Division of Census Operations. s (GCE). At 2 pm, members of the Presidency will join a meeting of the Budget and Financial Execution Assessment Committee (CAEOF).

On Tuesday (20), at 8 am, representatives of the Presidency will attend the opening panel session of the Seminar on race, gender and climate data, with representatives of the Instotute for Applied Economic Research (IPEA) and Geledés Institute.

On Wednesday (21), at 9 am, a team from the presidency will participate in a meeting of the Working Group on Lessons Learned (UN Statistics Division). At 9:30 am, representatives of the Presidency will participate in a monitoring meeting of the Operational Database (BDO).

On Thursday (22), at 10 am, members from the Presidency will meet with representatives of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI) and the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change (MMA), to discuss the Climate Adaptation Plan. At 2:30 pm, a team from the Presidency will join a meeting about the publiction Reflections on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development: 10 years of the SDGs.

On Friday (23), at 9:15 am, a team from the Presidency will attend the 4th Technical Workshop of the National Volunteer Report.

Directorates and Advisories

On Monday (19), throughout the day, a team from the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) will participate in a technical meeting of the Census of Agriculture with State Superintendencies (SES) in the North Region. At 8 am, professors from the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE) will attend an event of the National Association of Postgraduate Studies and Research in Urban and Regional Planning (ANPUR), in Curitiba (PR).

Also on Monday, at 9 am, representatives of DPE will be observants of the Pilot Enumeration of the IV General Population and Housing Enumeration (RGPH4), promoted by the Natioanl Statistical Office of Guinea-Bissau (INE-GNB). Throughout the week, the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE) will host the event ENCE de Portas Abertas (ENCE witl Open Doors) (EPA).

On Tuesday (20), at 10 am, a team from the Executive Directorate (DE) will present the PINS system ans the system for evaluation of new civil servants. At 11 am, a team from the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) will attend in a meeting of the Board of Directors of the UN Task Team on Scanner Data.

Also on Tuesday, at 11 am, representatives of the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) will participate in the Webinar of the Working Group of CARIGEO and ONU-GGIM: “Preparation, Reply and Recovery - Lessons Learned with the Beryl Hurricane”. At 2 pm, a team from DGC will give the course "Integration between Statistical and Geospatial Information and their Benefits to Society."

on Wednesday (21), at 11 am, members of the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) will participate in a meeting of the Working Group for Capacity Development (HLG-IGIF). At 2 pm, representatives of DGC will be present at a meeting about the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data. At 4 pm, a team from DGC will deliver a Seminar on Environmental Economic Accounts.

On Thursday (22), at 10 am, members of the Directorate of Geosceinces (DGC) will participate in a meeting about the participa de reunião sobre o Climate Adaptation Plan.

On Friday (23), throughout the day, a team from the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) will conduct the workshop "A territory of information: Potentialities of the 2022 Census data," in Natal (RN). At 10 am, professors from ENCE will deliver a workshop on Artificial Intelligence at Ciap Belém.

Also on Friday, at 11 am, a team from DGC will participate in a meeting of the Central American Council, of UN-GGIM Americas. At 2 pm, a team from DPE will participate in a meeting with representatives of the Department for Epidemiological Analysis and Surveillance of Non-Communicable Diseases (DAENT), to discuss Budget and the Work Plan.

State Superintendencies 

On Tuesday (20), at 3 pm, representatives of the IBGE State Superintendency in Bahia (SES/BA) wil attend the 2nd Ordinary Meeting of the Administration Council of the Electronic Information System (SEI).

On wednesday (21), at 9 am, a team from the IBGE State Superintendency in Alagoas (SES/AL) will deliver a presentation on IBGE Educa in Maceió.

On Thursday (22) at 2pm, a team from SES/BA will be in a meeting with the Secretariat of Racial Equality  Promotion (SEPROMI) for planning of the basis for the Census of Agriculture of pasture communities. At 2:30 pm, a team from the IBGE State Superintendency in the Federal District (SES/DF) will join a meeting on the evolution of the Publication Sustainable Development Goals (ODS) 10 years.
